Job summary

Fueled is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to own the data warehouses behind marketing analytics for client engagements. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines from GA4 exports, marketing APIs, and CMS content into BigQuery, with Dataform models and Looker Studio dashboards on top.

You will write Python ingestion services, manage IAM and runbooks, and mentor other engineers. This remote-friendly role collaborates with US teams on real projects for global brands.

Qualifications

• Shipped Dataform or dbt on BigQuery in production.
• Written Python data pipelines in production: API clients with pagination and rate limits, watermarks, backfills.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering on client engagements that bring marketing and product data into BigQuery.
• Build and operate Dataform projects across GCP with assertions and scheduled runs.
• Write and maintain Python ingestion services on Cloud Run for rate-limited APIs.
• Set up IAM, monitoring, cost controls, and runbooks in the client’s tenant.
• Explain technical decisions to client stakeholders in plain language.
