Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Director, Corporate Risk & Insurance to design, implement and manage the company’s risk transfer strategies. You will oversee enterprise-wide insurance renewals, negotiate with carriers and brokers, and supervise the self-insured casualty program.

Reporting to the SVP of Tax, Risk Management & Payroll, you will analyze exposures, coordinate with actuaries, auditors and legal, and advise the business on coverage and financial risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business administration, risk management or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in risk management, insurance company or insurance brokerage; captive oversight preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Professional affiliations (ARM, CPCU, Agents & Brokers License) preferred.
• Superior interpersonal and time/project management skills.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance concepts and policies.
• Computer software and web-based applications skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage Burlington's risk management and insurance programs.
• Oversee enterprise-wide insurance renewals with carriers and brokers.
• Manage self-insured casualty program with actuaries and TPAs.
• Analyze reserves with actuaries for short and long-term risks.
• Oversee captive insurance company and audits with regulators and auditors.
• Identify exposures and communicate coverage gaps to the business.
