Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Director of Corporate Risk & Insurance to design and manage enterprise-wide risk transfer and insurance programs. You will lead renewals, manage brokers and vendors, and oversee self-insured programs with actuaries and third-party administrators.

The role requires 10+ years in risk management or insurance, strong MS Office skills, and CPA/CPCU/ARM preferences. Hybrid work arrangement offered with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business administration, risk management or a related field.
• 10+ years in risk management, insurance, or brokerage with captive oversight preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Professional affiliations (ARM, CPCU, Agents & Brokers License) preferred.
• Superior interpersonal and project management skills; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise-wide insurance program renewals and vendor relationships.
• Oversee self-insured casualty program with actuaries and third-party administrators.
• Develop reserves with actuaries for self-insurance risks.
• Oversee captive insurance company finances and audits with regulators and auditors.
• Identify new exposures and advise on coverage options; explain deductibles and retentions.
