Job summary

Clearway Energy Group in Princeton, New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Construction to lead construction management across wind, solar and energy storage projects. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, execution, and cost control, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Construction.

You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and third-party contractors, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive construction experience.
• Experience with wind energy or PV solar & BESS projects.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts and deliverables.
• Experience supervising/directing teams and providing feedback.
• Strong communication with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel for financial/analytic tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop timelines and project deliverables with stakeholders.
• Identify pinch points to avoid delays.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal resources.
• Secure internal resources to keep projects on schedule.
• Develop project execution plans for third-party construction.
• Review plans and specifications for timely approvals from engineering.
• Define scope of work and manage change orders.
• Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for VP Construction.
• Manage construction budgets and vendor performance.
• Ensure contract compliance and proper documentation.
