Job summary

The City of Pilot Point seeks a Community Services Director to lead the Community Services Department, directing planning, permitting, code compliance, and inspections. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field (required).
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, building, permitting, or code compliance.
• At least three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership over planning, zoning, building inspections, code compliance, and permitting.
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure effective delivery of services in compliance with laws.
• Lead and implement strategic initiatives aimed at modernizing departmental operations and improving community quality of life.
• Support the City’s long-term vision aligning goals with strategic plans (housing, transportation, infrastructure, economic development).
• Oversee review and processing of planning and zoning applications, building permits, and development proposals.
