Job summary

City of Pilot Point is seeking a City Engineer and Director of Engineering to lead the City's professional engineering services and department. This role oversees public infrastructure planning, capital project delivery, development review, construction administration, and GIS coordination.

The position directs staff and consultants to protect infrastructure and support orderly growth. The posted salary is the minimum starting salary and offers will reflect education and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• PE license in the State of Texas with active status.
• CFM certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct Engineering Department staff; set priorities and manage contracted services.
• Serve as principal civil engineering advisor to City leadership and boards.
• Manage Capital Improvement Program planning and project delivery.
• Lead subdivision, site development, and public infrastructure reviews for compliance.
• Coordinate with Public Works and Planning to align infrastructure with growth.
• Oversee construction administration, inspections, and records management.
• Prepare staff reports and represent the Engineering Department at meetings.
