Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Technology to lead hands-on CNC manufacturing, process development, and tooling design on the factory floor. You will manage engineering teams, drive manufacturing transformation through automation, digital tools, and AI integration, and ensure processes meet quality and customer requirements.

This is a senior, on-site leadership role requiring deep technical expertise coupled with a practical, on-floor leadership approach

Qualifications

Significant CNC machining experience with hands-on problem solving.
Experience developing manufacturing processes from drawings to production.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and fixtures.
Ability to troubleshoot on the shop floor and drive corrective actions.
Experience interpreting drawings and GD&T; leadership in modernization.

Responsibilities

Lead hands-on manufacturing engineering, routings, setups, tooling, and work instructions.
Provide technical support for CNC programming, setups, and machining issues.
Lead tooling/fixture design and implementation with production teams.
Drive manufacturing transformation through automation, AI, and digital tools.
Develop and execute a roadmap for modernizing CNC operations and data capture.
Lead and develop the engineering team while hands-on on technical work.
