Job Juncture is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Technology to lead hands-on CNC manufacturing and drive modernization across the shop floor. You will develop routings, toolings, and digital work instructions while solving production challenges.

The role requires guiding engineering team development and implementing AI-enabled automation to improve cycle times, quality, and throughput. Based in Bay Shore, NY, with a strong focus on practical leadership on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Significant manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining environment.
• Experience methodizing new work and developing processes from drawings.
• Strong CNC programming, tools, workholding, and fixture knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot shop-floor issues and guide corrective actions.
• Experience interpreting drawings, GD&T, and complex manufacturing needs.
• Proven success leading improvements with measurable results.
• Experience with digital manufacturing tools, CNC connectivity, automation, or modernization.
• Experience evaluating AI applications in manufacturing workflows.
• Experience leading technical teams with hands-on engineering involvement.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Hands-on manufacturing engineering: develop routings, setup requirements, tooling and work instructions.
• Provide technical support for CNC programming and machining issues.
• Lead tooling/fixture design and implementation.
• Collaborate with machinists, programmers, and quality to resolve problems.
• Improve cycle time, tool life, and process capability.
• Support new product introduction and ramp-up.
• Ensure processes meet drawings, tolerances, quality, and customer requirements.
• Develop a modernization roadmap for CNC operations and digitization.
• Lead the adoption of automation and AI applications.
• Evaluate new equipment and software based on business value.
• Turn improvements into sustained results through training and adoption.
• Lead and develop the engineering team while remaining hands-on.
