Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Technology to lead hands-on CNC manufacturing, process development, and problem solving on the shop floor.

The role drives tooling design, digital tools, and AI integration to elevate manufacturing performance and product quality. The position combines technical leadership with team development, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic transformation to modernize CNC operations and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Significant CNC machining engineering experience with hands-on problem solving.
• Experience methodizing new work from drawings through production.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
• Ability to troubleshoot on the shop floor and guide corrective actions.
• Experience with GD&T, complex manufacturing requirements, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on manufacturing engineering, routings, setups, and work instructions.
• Provide technical support for CNC programming and machining issues.
• Lead tooling and fixture design and implementation.
• Collaborate with machinists, production leaders, and quality personnel to resolve problems.
• Improve cycle times, tool life, and process capability; support new product introductions.
• Develop a modernization roadmap for CNC operations and digital tooling adoption.
