Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Technology to lead CNC-driven manufacturing, drive process development, and advance automation and AI integration on the shop floor.

You will champion engineering team development, implement digital tools, and work cross-functionally with operations, quality, and leadership to improve cycle times, yield, and delivery. This hands-on leadership role requires active floor presence.

Qualifications

• Significant CNC manufacturing experience and hands-on problem solving on the shop floor.
• Ability to methodize new work from drawings to production.
• Proficient in CNC programming, tooling, and fixture design; GD&T knowledge.
• Experience leading technical teams while maintaining hands-on involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives and CNC operations modernization.
• Develop and execute roadmaps for automation and digital tooling adoption.
• Coach and develop the engineering team while collaborating with operations and quality.
• Track performance metrics like cycle time, throughput, and quality to drive improvements.
