KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Technology who will lead hands-on CNC manufacturing, process development, tooling and fixture design, and shop-floor problem solving. You will drive manufacturing transformation through automation, digital tools, and AI integration on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Significant manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining environment.
• Experience developing manufacturing processes from engineering drawings to production.
• Strong CNC programming, tooling and fixturing knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot on the shop floor and guide corrective actions.
• Experience interpreting drawings, GD&T, and complex manufacturing requirements.
• Proven track record improving cycle times, tool life, and process capability.
• Experience implementing digital manufacturing tools, CNC connectivity, automation, or AI in workflows.
• Experience leading technical teams while remaining hands-on.

Responsabilités

• Hands-On Manufacturing Engineering: develop routings, setup requirements, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.
• Provide direct technical support for CNC programming and setup optimization.
• Lead tooling/fixture design and implementation.
• Collaborate with machinists, programmers, and quality to resolve problems.
• Improve cycle times, tool life, and process capability.
• Support new product introduction and transition to stable production.
• Ensure processes meet drawings, tolerances, quality, and customer requirements.
• Manufacturing Transformation & Technology: modernize CNC operations, digitize processes, collect production data, and manage programs.
• Identify automation and AI applications to improve efficiency and monitoring.
• Evaluate new equipment and technologies for measurable value.
• Turn improvements into sustained results with training and adoption.
• Engineering Leadership: coach and develop the team while staying hands-on.
• Set priorities balancing production support with long-term projects.
• Strengthen standards, documentation, and change control.
