Job summary
Accounting Search in New York is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Technology to lead hands-on CNC manufacturing, process development, and tooling design on the shop floor. You will drive manufacturing transformation through automation, digital tools, and AI, while coaching the engineering team and delivering measurable improvements in cycle times, quality, and delivery.
The role requires close collaboration with operations, maintenance, and leadership to balance daily production
Qualifications
- Significant manufacturing engineering experience in CNC machining.
- Experience leading technical teams while remaining hands-on on the shop floor.
- Experience with digital tools and AI applications in manufacturing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead methodizing of new work and develop manufacturing processes from drawings to production.
- Provide direct technical support for CNC programming, setup optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Lead tooling and fixture design and implementation.
- Drive automation, data collection, and digital work instructions.
- Coach and develop the engineering team while hands-on on the floor.
