Job summary

Galen College of Nursing in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Director of Clinical Learning to standardize clinical experiences across nursing programs by negotiating, arranging, and evaluating site partnerships. The role reports to the Dean and collaborates with the Clinical Performance and Experience team to align with curriculum outcomes.

Key responsibilities include overseeing faculty placement, scheduling, and performance evaluations; ensuring alignment with accreditation standards; and

Qualifications

• MSN required; doctoral degree preferred.
• Unencumbered RN licensure in applicable state required.
• Minimum three years of clinical education experience.
• Academic leadership experience preferred.
• Academic nursing certification preferred.
• Established relationships with clinical facilities preferred.
• Demonstrates core nurse leadership competencies: professionalism, communication and relationship management, knowledge of the healthcare environment, business skills and leadership.
• Proficient computer skills with ability to collect and analyze data; familiarity with clinical placement management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical site partnerships and evaluation to align with outcomes.
• Lead faculty placement, orientation, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate scheduling and workload across sites and faculty.
• Collaborate with governance to maintain accreditation and state requirements.
• Foster collaboration between theory, lab, simulation, and clinical faculty.
