Job summary

Galen College of Nursing seeks a Director of Clinical Learning to standardize clinical experiences, oversee site partnerships, and ensure accreditation and board compliance across nursing programs. The role reports to the Dean and collaborates with the Clinical Performance and Experience team.

Responsibilities include faculty supervision, schedule management, and oversight of student learning outcomes through clinical placements aligned with curriculum and standards.

Qualifications

• MSN required; doctoral degree preferred.
• Unencumbered RN licensure in the applicable state required.
• Minimum three (3) years of clinical education experience required.
• Academic leadership experience preferred.
• Academic nursing certification preferred.
• Established relationships with clinical facilities and nursing organizations preferred.
• Core nurse leader competencies: professionalism, communication & relationship management, healthcare knowledge, business skills, leadership.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; manage conflict and build clinical partner relationships.
• Ability to match student placement needs to clinical partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee evaluation of clinical experiences and link findings to student outcomes and program quality.
• Supervise faculty clinical course assignments, scheduling, and workload.
• Approve and adjust clinical schedules; participate in committee meetings.
• Provide strategic oversight of faculty placement and orientation; ensure faculty readiness.
