Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is recruiting a Director of Clinical Learning in Roanoke, VA. You will operationalize clinical experiences, negotiate and evaluate site engagements, and support faculty to ensure alignment with curriculum outcomes.

The role reports to the Dean in a matrix structure, overseeing faculty and clinical education staff, with emphasis on improving student clinical experiences and program outcomes. A MSN with nursing background and RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• MSN with nursing background and understanding of student learning and clinical experiences.
• Three years of clinical education experience; academic leadership preferred.
• Unencumbered RN licensure in applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee faculty placement and orientation in collaboration with campus leadership.
• Negotiate, manage, and evaluate clinical affiliations and sites across programs.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with outcomes and regulatory guidelines.
• Support faculty in appraisal and promotion processes and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with leadership to coordinate communication between theory, clinical labs, and simulations.
