Job summary

Empower Tehama seeks an Associate Director/Director of Client Services to lead operations, staff development, and program oversight across crisis, housing, and advocacy services. You will work with supervisors to ensure high-quality client care and community-aligned outcomes.

You will support grant development, evaluation, and data-driven decision making while guiding staff through training and conflict resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, psychology, human services, public administration, nonprofit management, criminal justice, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in nonprofit, social services, victim services, behavioral health, child welfare, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, child abuse, or interpersonal violence.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary partners (law enforcement, child welfare, courts, healthcare, schools, community orgs).

Responsibilities

• Lead organizational operations and oversee program administration.
• Coach and support supervisors and staff; foster staff development and performance.
• Support grant development, compliance, and program evaluation; drive data-informed decisions.
• Translate organizational goals into effective programs, policies, and practices.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure services meet organizational values and community needs.
