Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Programs and Services, the Associate Director of Client Services is responsible for the direct implementation, leadership, and management of the Client Services Program satellite location(s) under their oversight. This role provides strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for the Client Services Department, ensuring programmatic effectiveness, financial oversight, and operational excellence.The Associate Director develops reports and delivers presentations on behalf of Samaritan House, supports budget planning and expense control within their program area, and provides direct supervision and professional development for Client Services staff including Case Managers and the Client Services Supervisor. As a key member of the organization’s Leadership Team, this position plays a critical role in strategic planning, community relations, and program development to further the mission of Samaritan House.

Bilingual/bicultural proficiency in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
Strong skills in leadership, communication, conflict management, and staff development Ability to solve problems effectively under pressure, multitask, and manage competing priorities. Ability to maintain composure in stressful and emotional environments, exercising sound judgment and confidentiality. Demonstrated knowledge of the needs and challenges facing low-income, underserved, and vulnerable populations within San Mateo County. Excellent crisis and conflict management experience. Strong understanding of the local service landscape for economically challenged individuals. Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills. Excellent computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn data management systems (e.g., Clarity, CORE, HMIS). Emotional resilience and ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail and timely follow-through. Ability to establish and maintain successful and effective interpersonal relationships with all agency constituents. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within teams. Proven ability to conduct all interactions with all constituents in a highly ethical manner demonstrating high level of integrity, transparency and compassion in all work. Ability to meet deadlines and complete all work in a timely manner. Demonstrated ability to analyze program data, monitor performance metrics, prepare reports, and utilize data to support operational and strategic decision-making. Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain excellent professional boundaries with constituents. Ability and desire to work with various constituents of diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to exercise appropriate judgment with tact and diplomacy both under normal and stressful situations. Must be able to maintain appropriate composure and professionalism when faced with escalated situations.

Ability to follow Agency Policies and organize required activities according to Samaritan House policies, procedures and best practices which include any related federal, state, or local agency requirement.
