Empower Tehama seeks an Associate Director/Director of Client Services to lead operations, staff development, and program oversight across crisis, housing, and advocacy services. You will work with supervisors to ensure high-quality client care and community-aligned outcomes.
You will support grant development, evaluation, and data-driven decision making while guiding staff through training and conflict resolution.
The Associate Director/Director of Client Services is a senior leadership position responsible for supporting the Executive Director in the overall leadership, administration, and day-to-day operations of Empower Tehama. This position provides strategic and operational oversight across programs and services while maintaining a strong connection to direct client care and community needs.
The Associate Director/Director of Client Services serves as a key organizational leader, supporting supervisors and staff through coaching, problem-solving, conflict resolution and professional development; ensuring quality and consistency of direct client services; assisting with grant development and compliance; supporting program evaluation and data-informed decision-making; and helping translate organizational goals into effective programs, policies, and practices.
The Associate Director/Director of Client provides leadership, ongoing training and support for all crisis and advocacy programs as well as all housing and legal programs. This position works closely with managers and supervisors to evaluate outcomes of services and programs, identify gaps in services, and ensure services are provided in a manner consistent with organizational values and goals. The Associate Director/Director of Client Services is part of the Executive Leadership Team and works closely with the Executive Director to maintain a safe, healthy and productive workplace.
Bachelor’s degree in social services, psychology, human services, public administration, nonprofit management, criminal justice, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum 5 years' experience in nonprofit, social services, victim services, behavioral health, child welfare, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience, including responsibility for staff development, performance management, program operations, or organizational functions.
Demonstrated experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, child abuse, or other forms of interpersonal violence.
Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary partners, including law enforcement, child welfare, courts, healthcare providers, schools, and community-based organizations.
