**Job Description**

We are seeking a Director of Catering Sales for the Aramark operation at the Richmond Convention Center, Richmond VA.

This is a management position responsible for developing and executing catering solutions to meet customer needs and facilitating the delivery of prepared food created from event-specific work orders or in a room service environment.

**Job Responsibilities:**

1. Maintain corporate and social catering accounts to meet or exceed revenue goals.
2. Develop and maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries, develop proposals and contracts, and identify opportunities to upsell and offer enhancements.
3. Collaborate with event planners to manage the entire event experience and generate new catering business through outside calls.
4. Support large recurring events and one-time opportunities.
5. Demonstrate good communication and project management skills.
6. Meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
7. Pay attention to detail, stay organized, and manage time effectively.
8. Exhibit leadership qualities and decision-making skills.
9. Negotiate and respond to customer inquiries.

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in the hospitality industry, with catering or banquets experience preferred.
• Experience in a major convention hotel or large social market preferred.
• Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
• Understanding of the sales process and menu planning.
• Knowledge of banquet and event service operations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks proactively and creatively.
• Willingness to work event-based hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
