Job summary

GreyStone Power Corporation seeks a Manager, BI & Analytics to lead data analytics and BI initiatives across the organization. You will drive data governance, KPI development, and actionable insights to support reliable, cost-effective electric and fiber services.

The role oversees data collection, transformation, and reporting while partnering with operations, finance, and IT to implement advanced analytics and visualization solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, AI, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience managing analytics teams.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or R).
• Experience with data ingestion and pipeline tools (FiveTran, AWS Glue, Matillion, Airbyte or similar).
• Experience with data warehousing and transformation tools (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, or similar).
• Experience with data cataloging and metadata management tools (Qlik, Coalesce, Atlan, or similar).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, AWS Quick, or similar).
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team of data analysts, BI professionals, & low-code application developers.
• Set clear performance expectations, goals, and development plans for direct reports.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and support career growth.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement culture.
• Drives continuous improvement in data governance & reporting.
• Serve as a strategic liaison across business units, translating challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Develop and execute the cooperative’s analytics and BI strategy.
• Define, track, and refine KPIs related to system reliability, financial performance, member satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data to improve member experience, grid performance, and capital planning.
• Transform complex datasets into actionable insights using advanced analytics, modeling, and visualization tools.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau) for leadership and operations teams.
• Lead initiatives such as digital transformation, AI, load forecasting, rate analysis, and DER analytics.
• Present findings to senior leadership in a clear, concise manner.
• Establish data governance standards for data accuracy, integrity, and security.
• Oversee data management across CIS, OMS, SCADA, AMI, ERP, and SaaS platforms.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards.
