GreenSky, LLC in Atlanta seeks a Director of Business Intelligence to lead the Enterprise Data platform transformation, blending data engineering, analytics, AI enablement, and business strategy. You will manage a team of Data and Test Engineers, optimize a Snowflake-based platform, and drive a governance-driven, self-service analytics model.

This role blends hands-on technical work with strategic roadmapping to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Engineering, BI, or Data Platform roles.
• 3+ years in leadership overseeing data engineering teams.
• Deep hands-on Snowflake – architecture, performance, cost, security.
• Strong ETL/ELT tooling experience – Qlik Talend, Fivetran, or equivalent.
• Proven track record modernizing legacy data platforms in production.
• Experience designing and enforcing data governance, quality, and observability.
• Ability to translate technical complexity into executive roadmaps and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Audit current data warehouse: data quality, duplication, schema, performance.
• Define data modeling standards for GreenSky workloads.
• Set Snowflake optimization standards: clustering, views, sizing, cost governance.
• Rationalize modern ETL jobs with maintainability and observability.
• Establish modern software engineering practices: VCS, code reviews, CI/CD, automated testing.
• Improve CDC monitoring and alerting in data pipelines.
• Create a data strategy roadmap with milestones and owners.
• Lead migration toward governed self-service analytics.
• Evaluate data stack enhancements (dbt, Airflow, Great Expectations).
• Develop AI/ML enablement plan leveraging Snowflake Cortex and LLMs.
• Drive semantic/metrics layer adoption for single source of truth.
