Teradyne Robotics in Atlanta, GA, seeks Head of Application Engineering for North America to lead regional AE function, provide technical sales support, train partners and end-users, and align with global technical teams.

You will oversee +10 employees across regions, drive pre-sales success, KPI development, and collaboration with CDMs and Sales Engineers to meet customer needs; strong leadership and strategic vision required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• +10 years of technical support experience in robotics.
• Solid robotics/automation knowledge across multiple applications.
• Proven success in pre-sales, post-sales support and training.
• Experience with structured sales, plans, budgets, and pipeline management.
• +3 years managing people on-site or remotely.
• Experience managing complex client relationships is required.
• Strong oral communication and de-escalation skills.
• Business acumen applicable to senior-level interactions.
• Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and sales enablement to partners and end-users.
• Develop distributors’ and end users’ technical knowledge of UR/robotics.
• Support Service 360 activities and case management per global processes.
• Share knowledge with the global AE community.
• Navigate regional and global organizations to align processes, tools, and training.
• Direct leadership of +10 employees across countries and cultures.
• Own performance management, goals, feedback, coaching, and appraisals.
• Create pre-sales and technical KPIs with Sales Engineers and CDMs.
• Hire, onboard, and coach team members while delegating work.
• Interact with C-suite executives from distributors, partners, and customers.
• Ensure adherence to process standards and drive continuous improvement.
