Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a senior software engineering leader to drive technical strategy across a multi‑team organization of 50–150+ engineers, set architectural standards, and elevate engineering excellence. You will own delivery velocity, embed AI and ML workflows into the lifecycle, and partner with Product, Data, and Health care leaders to translate business strategy into engineering bets.

You’ll call out debt, push feasible timelines, and guide transformation from monoliths to microservices

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including leading large teams.
Deep, hands-on foundation in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
Proven ownership of production AI platforms and model deployment pipelines.
Track record of migrating monoliths to microservices under business pressure.

Responsibilities

Drive technical strategy across a multi-team engineering organization (50–150+ engineers).
Embed AI/ML workflows and agentic automation into the engineering lifecycle.
Own delivery velocity and be accountable for outcomes, not roadmaps.
Partner with Product owners, Data Engineers, and healthcare leaders to translate strategy into bets.
Be the technical voice, addressing debt and advocating for sound engineering investments.
