Job summary

Commure is building an AI-driven healthcare platform focused on transforming referrals and care coordination. You will own end-to-end delivery of Orchestrator, collaborating with clinicians and IT teams to ensure seamless data flow from origin to EHR.

The role combines hands-on engineering leadership with strategic product work, guiding integration across HL7 v2, FHIR, and UI automation to support a growing customer base and high-volume workflows.

Qualifications

• Direct experience building software that integrates with EHRs.
• Working fluency in healthcare interoperability: HL7 v2, FHIR, and interface engines.
• Strong full-stack engineering background with production services experience.
• At least 1 year managing engineers after 5+ years as an IC engineer.
• Comfort with ambiguity and non-specified requirements.
• Track record of building products serving many customers, not one-off requests.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery for Orchestrator end to end: intake pipeline, coordinator app, voice automation, and EHR write-back.
• Grow the team through hiring and raise the technical bar while onboarding new engineers.
• Remain hands-on: contribute to design docs, code reviews, and incident response.
• Define integration strategy: balance HL7/v2, FHIR, and UI automation tradeoffs.
• Prepare the system for higher referrals, more customers, and greater integration counts.
• Engage with health system IT teams, interface analysts, and clinical operations leads.
• Translate customer conversations into generalized product abstractions and configurations.
