Job summary

Commure is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Orchestrator team, which fixes referrals by ingesting channels, extracting data, coordinating outbound work, and writing results back to the EHR. You will own delivery, drive architecture decisions, and hire for growth on a fast-moving product used by health systems.

You'll work closely with the Director of Engineering and engage directly with customers and IT teams to shape shared abstractions that scale across many workflows.

Qualifications

• Direct experience building software that integrates with EHRs across major platforms.
• Fluency in HL7 v2, FHIR, and practical interoperability work.
• Strong full‑stack background with production services ownership.
• Minimum 1 year in engineering management with a track record of growing teams.
• Ability to translate customer needs into scalable product outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of the Orchestrator product for referrals.
• Grow the team through hiring and raise the technical bar.
• Remain technically active in design, reviews, and incidents.
• Define integration strategy across HL7 v2, FHIR, X12 and UI automation.
• Scale system to handle higher referral volume and more customers.
• Collaborate directly with health system IT, analysts, and operations leads.
• Turn customer conversations into a shared, generalized product.
