Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a Director, Forward Deployed Solutions (AI) to lead a customer-facing professional services function focused on AI-enabled legal, tax, and professional-information solutions. The role owns operating plans, staffing, and delivery governance while partnering with Sales and Product to turn customer opportunities into value realization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Professional Services or related customer-facing tech environments.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience leading senior professionals and managers.
• Experience leading a Professional Services/solutions-delivery function with capacity and financial accountability.
• Experience shaping complex enterprise engagements from discovery through value realization.
• Proven ability to partner with Sales and commercial teams while maintaining delivery discipline.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS, AI-enabled products, or data-intensive platforms.
• Experience with legal, tax, accounting, or compliance workflows is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Forward Deployed Solutions team supporting Legal and Tax engagements.
• Establish an operating model for intake, staffing, governance, and outcomes.
• Own the annual operating plan including demand, capacity, budget, and performance.
• Use data to improve portfolio delivery, utilization, and customer outcomes.
• Partner with Sales and commercial leaders to shape opportunities with clear scope and plans.
• Support executive-level customer discovery and steering forums for high-value engagements.
• Align pipeline with delivery capacity and practical build/buy/borrow decisions.
• Set standards for discovery, design, engagement planning, and handoffs.
• Coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on roadmap and customer insights.
