Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is a 140-bed hospital providing inpatient services for adolescents, adults, military personnel, veterans and first responders. The Admissions/Intake Director leads admission procedures, coordinating with hospital units and referral sources to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

The role requires supervisory experience in admissions, knowledge of insurance processes, and a strong patient-centered approach within a psychiatric/mental health

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree In Psychology/Sociology or any related field or RN.
• Two years supervisory experience in an admissions setting or office management.
• Knowledge of assessments, Pre-certs, insurance, Cobra, computer system a plus.
• Two years practical experience, preferably in the psychiatric/mental health field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and administer a full-scale admission procedure for all time periods and that is specific to all populations served.
• Monitor and report on all documentation relating to assessments and admissions regarding inquiry, nonviable dispositions, referral source follow-up patient satisfaction, discharge, etc.
• Monitor and report on all documentation relating to the Business Office including insurance verification, financial arrangements, etc. for the patient admission process.
• Maintain a courteous and respectful demeanor at all times with all LTBHS patients, potential patients, referral sources, and significant others.
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all referral services.
• Coordinate internal activities to establish a positive working relationship with each hospital unit/program and LTBHS staff at all levels.
• Submit daily status reports to the Administrator.
