Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is seeking an Admissions/Intake Director to lead admission procedures for diverse populations and to oversee intake operations. The role emphasizes coordination with hospital units, referral services, and the Business Office to ensure smooth, compliant patient admissions.

The position requires a master’s degree (or RN) and at least two years of supervisory experience in admissions, with knowledge of assessments and insurance processes essential for daily

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology/sociology or RN required.
• Two years supervisory experience in admissions or office management.
• Knowledge of assessments, pre-certifications, insurance, Cobra; computer systems a plus.
• Two years of practical experience, preferably in psychiatric/mental health.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and administer a full-scale admission procedure for all populations served.
• Monitor documentation related to assessments and admissions, follow-up, and discharge processes.
• Monitor documentation for the Business Office including insurance verification and financial arrangements for admissions.
• Maintain courteous and respectful demeanor with patients, referral sources, and families.
• Establish and maintain relationships with referral services.
• Coordinate internal activities to foster positive relationships with hospital units and staff.
• Submit daily status reports to the Administrator.
