Job summary

PACS seeks an Admissions leader to manage the admissions process and daily operations, ensuring efficient intake and adherence to admission criteria. You will direct staff, coordinate with Nursing, Case Management and other departments, and ensure timely communication with families and referral sources.

The role requires background in healthcare admissions, strong organizational skills, and the ability to protect patient information.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
• A Bachelor's Degree in health care or related field Preferred.
• Two years' Admissions experience preferred.
• LVN or RN license preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage admissions process and daily operations of Admissions Department to meet census goals.
• Admit patients to the facility and screen according to admission criteria.
• Complete admission and financial responsibility forms; plan and interpret department programs and policies.
• Coordinate with Nursing and Case Management to ensure appropriate admissions and bed availability.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with regulations and privacy rules.
• Develop outreach with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners to maximize referrals.
