Job summary

PACS is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to support facility operations by enhancing resident census in a post-acute setting. You will oversee the admissions process, coordinate with the Director of Nursing, and ensure accurate documentation and bed availability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners to maximize referrals. Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma or GED, with two years of admissions experience preferred;

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience: high school diploma or GED.
• Two years' Admissions experience preferred.
• LVN or RN license preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business-related materials.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to present information to managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the admissions process to ensure a positive experience for residents and families.
• Plan, direct, and monitor daily Admissions Department operations to meet census goals.
• Admit patients to the health care facility and verify eligibility and insurance.
• Screen patients against admission criteria and collect required information.
• Coordinate with Nursing Director/Case Manager to ensure appropriateness of admissions.
• Maintain bed availability records and foster referral relationships with physicians and discharge planners.
