Job summary

PACS is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to streamline admissions and increase census at our Portland, Oregon facility. You will manage the admissions process, coordinate with nursing, social work, and discharge planners, and ensure accurate documentation.

The role requires strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and ability to work with families, physicians, and staff. Prior admissions or healthcare operations experience preferred; a high school diploma is minimum, a healthcare degree

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
• A Bachelor's Degree in health care or related field preferred.
• Two years' Admissions experience preferred.
• LVN or RN license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the admissions process efficiently for a positive resident experience.
• Plan, direct, and monitor daily admissions department operations to meet census goals.
• Screen patients against admission criteria and complete forms.
• Coordinate with nursing, social work, and discharge planners for timely admissions.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and ensure record accuracy.
