Job summary

AccruePartners is seeking an experienced accounting leader in Charlotte, NC, to oversee day-to-day financial operations, manage month-end closes, and drive the integrity of reporting across multi-channel operations. The role focuses on strengthening internal controls, scaling the accounting function, and delivering accurate, timely financial insights.

• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a growing company.
• Leadership of an accounting function and team management.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing costing and inventory.
• Proven ability to improve processes and internal controls.
• Experience leveraging NetSuite for reporting.

LOCATION

• Charlotte, NC | Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting, general ledger management, month-end close, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Lead inventory, cost accounting, and revenue recognition processes, ensuring accuracy across multiple sales channels and operational systems.
• Manage and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, establishing accountability, and ensuring the team can operate effectively as the business grows.
• Take ownership of accounting systems, identifying opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen internal controls, and streamline financial reporting.
• Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, resolve accounting challenges, and support business decisions.
• Lead accounting-related process improvements, audit preparation, and other initiatives to strengthen the organization's financial operations.

BACKGROUND THAT FITS

• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience leading an accounting function and managing a team within a growing organization.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, including U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, inventory management, and cost accounting.
• Experience within a manufacturing or product-based business, with an understanding of inventory, operational accounting, and complex financial processes.
• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite, including the ability to leverage the system to improve reporting, streamline processes, and support business needs.
• A self-directed, solutions‑oriented leader who can operate with limited oversight, make independent decisions, and balance strategic responsibilities with hands‑on execution.
