Job summary

Talentify is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and support the company’s financial strength. This hands-on leadership role oversees a small team and drives process improvements, with collaboration across senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, analytical skills, and a collaborative leadership style, working in-person during standard business hours. Compensation starts around $75K per year with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or related field.
• 3–5+ years progressive accounting experience including management responsibilities.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial controls.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and financial analysis functions.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Experience with financial reporting and budgeting; Power BI/Tableau a plus.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including AP, AR, cash management, and GL activities.
• Supervise and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Review month-end P&L statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain accounting controls and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Analyze financial results, budgets and variances for planning and decision-making.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Maintain fixed asset accounting and chart of accounts integrity.
• Manage banking activities, transfers, and payee information.
• Collaborate with departments, customers, vendors, and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and a collaborative leadership style. This position works closely with senior leadership while overseeing a small accounting team and helping drive process improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger activities.


• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.


• Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.


• Review month-end profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.


• Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.


• Analyze financial results, budgets, and variances to support business planning and decision-making.


• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.


• Maintain fixed asset accounting and chart of accounts integrity.


• Manage banking activities, transfers, and payee information.


• Partner with internal departments, customers, vendors, and external stakeholders to resolve inquiries and support business objectives.


• Assist with special projects and additional accounting initiatives as needed.

This is a direct-hire, full-time and salaried role with the business. The schedule will be in-person, standard business hours. Pay is competitive, starting out at $75K per year, commensurate with experience. This company offers a full benefits package.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.


• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including accounting management responsibilities.


• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.


• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial controls.


• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial analysis functions.


• Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
