Job summary

Talently, a fast-growing technology company, is seeking a senior finance leader to drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close under U.S. GAAP while strengthening accounting policies and the internal control framework.

You will own the ERP system, scale processes, and partner with executive leadership on fundraising and growth strategy. You will lead a team of accounting professionals, oversee tax and payroll accounting, manage external audits, and collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and cash

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Active CPA license.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing accounting teams.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proven experience leading month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial process improvement.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
  • Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the company scales.
  • Own the finance side of the ERP system, improving processes, reporting, data integrity, and system functionality.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and other financial planning initiatives.
  • Manage external audit relationships and coordinate annual audits and financial reviews.
  • Oversee tax and payroll accounting activities and related compliance requirements.
  • Manage accounting for equity programs and employee stock plans.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes and build scalable financial infrastructure.
  • Lead and develop accounting team members while establishing effective processes and priorities.
  • Partner with executive leadership on financial performance, business decisions, fundraising, and growth initiatives.
