Alps Alpine NA, Inc. is seeking a Director of New Ventures & Service Business Incubation in Auburn Hills, MI. You will build and oversee a portfolio of new service opportunities, source ideas from diverse ecosystems, and translate market signals into actionable ventures.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience in new business development, venture building, service business development, or related fields.
• Five or more years of leadership experience involving cross-functional teams and complex initiatives.
• Demonstrated track record taking at least one new service, platform, or model from concept through market validation and launch.
• Direct experience designing and operating pilot programs or test businesses.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of new service business opportunities aligned with the Business Unit’s priorities.
• Create original business concepts and source ideas from employees, customers, technology partners, startups, and ecosystems.
• Translate market trends and customer problems into actionable opportunities.
• Establish a repeatable process for collecting, evaluating, prioritizing, and advancing new ideas.
• Maintain a balanced venture pipeline across near-term, adjacent, and longer-term opportunities.
• Develop decision frameworks and investment recommendations for executives.
• Lead customer discovery, interviews, surveys, and willingness-to-pay studies.
• Validate the customer problem before committing resources and select business models.
• Define pilots, budgets, success criteria, and milestones for test ventures.
• Lead cross-functional teams through launch of pilot services and commercial pilots.
• Establish KPIs and track engagement, unit economics, and scalability.
• Create an investment-grade commercialization plan and go-to-market strategy.
• Build a venture incubation playbook and leadership for scale.
