Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a New Americans Initiative Director to lead the strategy, implementation, fidelity, and quality of the NAI Welcome programs and services. This role supports a mission-driven organization serving New Yorkers across 24 branches and diverse communities, focusing on immigrant rights, social justice, and program excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Master's Degree with two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Three or more years of direct supervisory experience.
• Ability and interest in working with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights and social justice.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to identify/document information for program functioning and evaluation.
• Creative, strategic, analytical thinker with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience developing and managing budgets and hiring, training, supervising, and assessing personnel.
• Self-starter, highly organized, patient, and able to work well with others.
• Knowledge of adult literacy, civic education, immigration legal services, and case management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel; Windows-based applications and database management.
• Bilingual English and another language preferred (Spanish, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese).
