Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a New Americans Initiative (NAI) Coordinator in Manhattan to support program strategy, fidelity, and quality. You will provide trauma-informed services, assist with recruitment and orientation, and help manage partnerships and data entry across multiple databases.

Responsibilities include participant support, venue outreach, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements, while upholding the Y’s hospitality and inclusion values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Mental Health, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum two years related experience required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English or Mandarin/English is required.
• Knowledge of adult literacy, civic education, immigration services, and case management.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed case management and referrals following program standards.
• Support recruitment, registration, orientation, and outreach to communities.
• Maintain data in government and internal databases, ensuring timely entry.
• Assist with reporting to funders and operations of the initiative.
