Delta Dental of California is seeking a Director of Network Development to coordinate and lead network growth and contracting across the Western region. The role focuses on strategic partnerships, cost-efficient discounts, and quality access to care for a broad member base.

The position requires extensive experience in managed care, strong negotiation and leadership abilities, and a track record of building provider networks across large geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 12+ years in network development or managed care.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Proven track record negotiating major provider contracts.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience building provider networks across large geographies.
• In-depth knowledge of managed care and healthcare business.
• Experience with value-based contracting and with commercial/government programs is preferred.
• Strong leadership to manage division activities enterprise-wide.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Detail-oriented problem-solving capabilities.

• Grows and retains business through competitive network access and quality.
• Develops partnerships to ensure market-leading discounts and offerings.
• Leads initiatives guiding network development activities.
• Oversees provider contracting for efficiency and compliance.
• Develops and executes a regional network development plan and oversees a team.
• Evaluates provider performance and contract financials.
• Supports Sales teams to win business and grow membership.
• Oversees provider negotiations aligned with guidelines and targets.
• Leads enterprise initiatives around network management.
