Overview Energy, Inc. seeks a Director/VP of National Security to lead government capture from early engagement to programs of record in defense and space.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape how a technically differentiated, venture-backed company wins in the national security market. You will develop and execute a 5-year capture strategy, collaborating with engineering, legal, and executive leadership, and serving as the face of the company to DoD commands, Space Systems Command, and

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 10–20+ years of government capture experience in defense/national security.
• Proven DoD/IC acquisition process experience from proposal to award.
• Established network across DoD commands, services, and/or IC agencies.
• Engineering/technical background suitable for credible requirements discussions.
• Strong relationship skills and proactive networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own Overview Energy's government capture strategy over a 5-year horizon.
• Identify, cultivate, and close relationships with end users, program offices, and decision-makers across DoD and IC.
• Navigate SBIRs, FARs/DFARs, OTAs, AFWERX/SpaceWERX, and programs of record.
• Shape requirements documents and government RFPs with engineering leadership.
• Lead or support proposal development from drafting to final review.
• Build and manage a pipeline of government opportunities and report milestones.
• Collaborate with legal on export controls and agreements.
• Represent Overview Energy at government, defense, and space forums.
• Help build an external advisory network with senior military advisors.
