Job summary

Overview Energy is seeking a Director of National Security BD in the DC metro area. You will own the government capture strategy and lead engagements with DoD commands, IC agencies, and space programs. The role balances high autonomy with accountability and reports to the Co-CEO.

You will shape requirements, coordinate with engineering and legal, and drive proposals from draft to decision. A TS clearance and deep defense network are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• 10–20+ years of government capture experience in defense or national security space.
• Experience with DoD/IC acquisition processes from proposal to award.
• Established network across DoD commands, services, and IC agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own Overview Energy's government capture strategy across a 5-year horizon.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with end users and decision-makers across DoD and IC.
• Navigate SBIRs, FARs/DFARs, OTAs, AFWERX/SpaceWERX, and programs of record.
• Shape requirements and RFPs with engineering leadership.
• Drive or support proposal development from drafting to final review.
