Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Materials & Tooling Director to lead all materials management, warehousing, logistics, and tooling operations across North America. You will drive governance, budgeting, and strategic initiatives to ensure timely delivery of materials and tools for wind-energy projects.

You will oversee procurement, lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration with Construction, Supply Chain, and Global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and 5+ years of materials, logistics or tooling leadership.
• Experience leading large-scale construction, industrial, or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute North America materials and tooling strategies.
• Lead inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and tooling operations across sites.
• Establish governance, policies, and performance standards for materials and tooling functions.
• Oversee planning and availability of construction materials, spare parts, and tooling.
• Manage tooling lifecycle activities including procurement, inspections, and maintenance.
• Drive inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for materials and tooling assets.
• Monitor inventory valuation and tooling utilization; identify improvements.
• Lead warehouse operations and transportation strategies for domestic and international projects.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams with a safety-first culture.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans to support schedule adherence.
