Job summary

National Psoriasis Foundation seeks a Director, Advancement to lead a portfolio across annual, major and planned giving. This remote role, with preference for New York City/Metro, reports to the Vice President of Advancement.

The position drives donor relationships, secures significant commitments, and helps build a pipeline for future growth. Responsibilities include developing moves plans, collaborating with leadership and volunteers, and shaping fundraising strategy and governance to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five to seven years of successful nonprofit fundraising experience in major gifts, planned giving, or individual giving.
• Demonstrated success securing and closing five- and six-figure gifts.
• Experience managing a donor portfolio and moving prospects through cultivation and solicitation.
• Knowledge of planned giving principles and legacy fundraising strategies.
• Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and networking skills.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
• Experience with volunteers, board members, and senior leaders.
• Experience with Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or comparable donor management systems preferred.
• Ability to travel locally in New York and surrounding areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors and prospects across annual, major, and planned giving.
• Identify and qualify prospective donors with capacity, inclination, and connection to NPF.
• Build personalized relationships by understanding donor connections and motivations.
• Conduct donor visits, virtual meetings, and personalized outreach to deepen engagement.
• Develop and execute moves management plans guiding cultivation, solicitation, stewardship.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline to achieve revenue goals and growth.
