Job summary

ProPharma seeks an experienced Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth across Europe within the life sciences sector. You will drive new opportunities, expand client relationships, and contribute to revenue growth across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics, and digital health sectors.

You will engage with C‑suite stakeholders, develop end-to-end sales cycles, and collaborate with delivery, marketing, and leadership to shape market expansion programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PhD or equivalent) highly desirable.
• 8+ years of experience in business development, consulting sales, account management, or strategic partnerships.
• Minimum 5 years of experience selling consulting or professional services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, CRO, CDMO, or healthcare organisations.
• Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth and managing complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Experience building relationships with senior and C‑suite stakeholders across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve growth objectives across Europe.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue consulting opportunities within pharma, biotech, medical device, diagnostics, and digital health.
• Lead end-to-end sales: prospecting, solution development, proposals, contracts, and deal closure.
