GEICO is seeking a Director, Assistant Staff Counsel, to direct the legal, operational, and administrative activities of multiple liability-focused Staff Counsel offices. The role provides leadership, oversight of a major portion of the liability litigation practice, and ensures efficient delivery of legal services and operational excellence.

Essential duties include supervising staff, overseeing budgets, guiding associates, and driving organizational priorities.

Competenze

• Twelve (12) years of litigation experience, including insurance defense or personal injury.
• Licensed in good standing to practice law in applicable jurisdictions and maintain CLE requirements.
• Must travel up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to document files clearly and communicate professionally.

Mansioni

• Interview and/or approve job applicants for employment.
• Conduct/review performance appraisals for associates.
• Initiate or approve salary adjustments and other personnel changes.
• Counsel associates and take disciplinary action as appropriate.
• Ensure licensing requirements and continuing education are met.
