Qualifications

• Must be actively licensed to practice law in at least one state and maintain CLE requirements.
• Minimum twelve years of litigation experience with insurance defense or personal injury focus.
• Senior-level management experience required; experience leading multi-office teams preferred.
• Experience in commercial litigation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Staff Counsel offices with high performance and accountability.
• Develop litigation strategies aligned with department goals and objectives.
• Provide mentorship and professional development for team members.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to shape department policy and ensure legal compliance.
• Oversee litigation from initiation to resolution including trial, settlement, or appeal.
• Monitor case performance and adjust strategies to optimize outcomes.
• Manage office budgets and resource allocation for cost-effective strategies.
• Act as primary contact for internal stakeholders on litigation policies.
• Evaluate legal risks and provide strategic mitigation recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to policy standards and evolving legislation.
