Job summary

Legora is seeking a Director-level Head of Legal Engineering for Italy, based in Milan. You will establish the Legal Engineering function as Legora's commercial and delivery engine in Italy, setting craft standards, building the team and a Team Lead layer, and partnering with Go-to-Market and Engagement.

You will lead high-stakes client work, shape local market strategy, and translate client patterns into reusable playbooks while ensuring alignment with Legora's global standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified to practise law in Italy and have substantial legal, legal-operations or legal-technology experience.
• Experience building teams, functions or operating models from a low base with measurable impact.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop managers or Team Leads in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Stand up the Legal Engineering function for Italy from the Milan office, including its operating rhythm, capacity model and local partnership with Go-to-Market and Engagement.
• Hire exceptional Legal Engineers and future leaders, owning the quality bar from sourcing through ramp.
• Build a manager layer of Team Leads and delegate real decision rights with clear succession paths.
• Provide direct, evidence-based feedback and coach for performance and values.
• Partner with local commercial leadership on priority accounts, pilots, rollouts and escalations.
