Job summary

Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Manager, Talent Development to lead learning, leadership development, organizational development, and change management initiatives. You will partner with HR and organizational leaders to assess needs, build workforce capabilities, support change efforts, and implement programs that strengthen performance and leadership effectiveness.

Reporting to the Director of Talent Management, you will supervise the Training Coordinator and guide

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR/OD/organizational psychology, education, business administration, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of leadership and employee development initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Serve as internal consultant for organizational development, team effectiveness, and process improvement.
  • Lead change management planning and execution for initiatives, including stakeholder engagement and adoption strategies.
  • Identify performance gaps and development opportunities with leaders to improve effectiveness and engagement.
  • Oversee succession planning, talent reviews, and leadership pipeline initiatives.
  • Develop and facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs and workshops.
  • Evaluate learning outcomes and prepare reports for the Director, Talent Management.
  • Manage learning technologies, vendors, and external consultants; supervise Training Coordinator.
  • Support talent management activities including onboarding and employee engagement.
