Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Director of IT & OT Security Operations and Governance to lead enterprise cybersecurity across IT and OT environments, balancing security, uptime, and safety across manufacturing operations.

The role drives security operations, governance, incident response, risk management, and audits while partnering with IT, plant operations, engineering, and executives to mature programs and mentor a 5–10 person team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading enterprise Security Operations (SecOps) teams.
• Strong IT/OT security knowledge within manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience managing MDR providers, incident response, vulnerability management, and security operations programs.
• Understanding of NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, IEC 62443.
• Experience supporting security audits, compliance initiatives, and governance programs.
• Proven ability to build executive-level reporting, dashboards, and security metrics.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience leading and developing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day cybersecurity operations across IT and OT environments.
• Manage MDR provider for 24/7 monitoring, incident response, and readiness.
• Lead major cybersecurity incidents from detection through post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with plant engineering to implement OT security controls while ensuring production uptime.
• Oversee vulnerability management, remediation planning, risk acceptance, and exception processes.
• Develop governance, policies, standards, and procedures aligned with NIST/ISO/IEC.
• Establish and report on security KPIs/KRIs and executive dashboards.
• Coordinate audits and remediation efforts with internal/external teams.
• Drive automation, orchestration, and monitoring improvements.
• Foster security awareness and secure-by-design practices with leaders.
• Maintain risk registers and support enterprise risk management initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5–10 cybersecurity professionals.
