Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Director of Security Operations to lead our global SOC covering IT and OT. You will own threat detection, response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and OT security programs for a 24x7 operation.

The role requires hands-on leadership, MSSP/MDR governance, and a focus on automation, AI-enabled SecOps, and measurable risk reduction across enterprise and manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years leading security operations, SOC, or incident response functions.
• Demonstrated experience building and leading distributed 24x7 SOC teams, including MSSP/MDR governance.
• Deep expertise in threat detection, response, SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence, and modern detection engineering.
• Proven incident command experience leading high-severity incidents end to end.
• Strong people leadership: building, scaling, and retaining security teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global security operations strategy and roadmap across IT and OT environments.
• Build, lead, and develop a global SOC team and pod-based operating model.
• Establish and report security ops metrics, KPIs, and maturity to CISO and leadership.
• Own MSSP and MDR relationships and the build-versus-buy roadmap for SOC capabilities.
