Job summary
NYC School Construction Authority seeks an experienced Director of Operations within the Information Technology Division. The role oversees IT Customer Service Center operations, emphasizing cybersecurity, service desk, desktop support, RPA, and mobile/telecom expertise, with a proven track record in staff management and project oversight.
The position reports to CIO and requires strong customer service and stakeholder communication skills to lead multiple IT functions and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Twelve years of full-time experience, five years in administrative or managerial capacity.
- Baccalaureate Degree in related field.

Responsibilities
- Accountable to deliver core services within a division, through management of people, processes, or projects.
- Develops policies and procedures affecting operational/admin matters of the Authority.
- Ensures daily operations and resolution of managerial/operational problems.
- Liaises between Authority Departments, DOE, government agencies, and contractors.
- Participates in Operations Committee and develops divisional strategies.
- Translates organization strategy into plans and objectives for teams.
- Develops procedures to form project-based teams for common goals.
- Prepares reports for policy formulation.
- Recommends Authority-wide policies and procedures.
- Plans, directs, monitors, and evaluates staff work.
- Makes recruitment/hiring/promotion/reassignment recommendations.
